Prime Minister Denisse Miralles held a working meeting with representatives of transport associations to coordinate actions aimed at ensuring the timely supply of fuel.

The session was also attended by Ministers Gerardo Lopez (Economy and Finance) and Aldo Prieto (Transportation and Communications), the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) reported on Wednesday.

"During the meeting, the government agreed to strengthen monitoring and oversight operations across the entire national distribution chain, integrating service stations and wholesalers, with the aim of preventing hoarding and speculation that affect transport operators and citizens," the entity indicated.

In addition, the Prime Minister noted that there is sufficient fuel supply. Thus, there is no reason for an increase in the prices of these products.

"Prices rise when there is scarcity, but that is not the case; there is hoarding, and there is speculation on prices," Miralles said at a press conference held today.
