The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has terminated the duties of Peru's Honorary Consuls in the cities of Perth, Australia; Riga, the Republic of Latvia; and Pasto, the Republic of Colombia.

Pasto, Colombia

By Supreme Resolution No. 008-2026-RE, published in the Legal Regulations section of the Official Gazette El Peruano, the duties of Edgar Villota Ortega as Honorary Consul of Peru in Pasto, Republic of Colombia, have been concluded, with retroactive effect as of November 20, 2025.

The corresponding letters patent are also cancelled, and he is thanked for the services rendered to the Nation.

The resolution specifies that on September 15, 2025, the Peruvian Consulate General in Bogota reported that the honorary consular officer in question did not complete the accreditation process in a timely manner before the competent authorities.

This situation prevented the regular exercise of his duties. Therefore, it was recommended that his consular functions be terminated.

By Supreme Resolution No. 009-2026-RE, the duties of Ernando Palasioss as Peru's Honorary Consul in Riga, Republic of Latvia, with consular jurisdiction over said country, are terminated, with retroactive effect as of December 8, 2025.

Ernando Palasioss was appointed Honorary Consul of Peru in Riga on July 11, 2025.

On October 27, 2025, the Peruvian Embassy in the Republic of Finland reported the resignation of said citizen from the post.

For this reason, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cancels the corresponding letters patent and thanks him for the services rendered to the Nation.

Perth, Australia

Lastly, by Supreme Resolution No. 010-2026-RE, the duties of Luis Enrique Yhui Jordan as Honorary Consul of Peru in Perth, Australia, with consular jurisdiction over the State of Western Australia, are terminated.

He was appointed to the post on June 19, 2024.

On July 3, 2025, the Consulate General of Peru in Sydney informed the Directorate General of Peruvian Communities Abroad and Consular Affairs of his resignation, effective as of July 3, 2025.

The regulation cancels the corresponding letters patent. It also thanks him for the services rendered to the Nation.
