, which concludes this week with the Asia-Pacific Leaders' Meeting, as highlighted by Ambassador Carlos Chavez-Taffur, Chair of the APEC Peru 2024 Presidency Working Group.
"We are very pleased; we still have a couple of documents left," Chavez-Taffur noted.
"The ministers of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, who will meet on the 14th, are already in a drafting session to review the texts (of the document), followed by the final declaration," he indicated.
"The Leaders' Week is the most important event on the APEC calendar; it marks the conclusion of a hosting year, with several preparatory meetings leading up to, and culminating in, the gathering of leaders from Asia-Pacific member economies," he explained.
Approximately 5,000 delegates have registered for the final week of APEC Peru 2024, including 1,300 business leaders and 2,500 journalists.
