Presidential candidate Yonhy Lescano Ancieta, representing Cooperacion Popular (Popular Cooperation Party), cast his vote in Lima's Santiago de Surco district as part of the 2026 General Elections on Sunday.
Lescano Ancieta exercised his right to vote at Universidad Marcelino Champagnat, located at 1270 Mariscal Ramon Castilla Avenue, in the aforementioned district.
The candidate arrived at the polling place accompanied by supporters to take part in the electoral process.
Joining Lescano on the presidential ticket are Carmela Silene Salazar Jauregui as first vice president and Vanessa Rubith Lazo Valles as second vice president.
According to the voter roll of the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Reniec), more than 27 million Peruvians are eligible to vote at 92,766 polling tables nationwide.
In this electoral process, voters will elect the President and vice presidents, as well as members of the bicameral Congress (Senate and Chamber of Deputies) and representatives to the Andean Parliament.
As is known, the 2026 election day began this Sunday at 7:00 a.m. nationwide and ran until 6:00 p.m., during which citizens went to the polls to choose the country's new authorities.
