on Monday stressed that Peru reached a new export record in 2024, with projections exceeding US$73 billion.
"A historic achievement that demonstrates the unstoppable growth of our foreign trade. For 2025, we hope to exceed US$75 billion," he underscored via social media on January 6.
The government agency noted that Peruvian exports totaled US$60.168 billion in the first 10-month period of 2024 due to higher export volume and better prices.
Within this framework, the growth of the fishing, agricultural, and metal-mining sectors stood out. This dynamism has also been driven by an increase in the number of exporters.
During the first ten months of 2024, 8,991 exporters were registered, a 4.2% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
This export growth has also been due to the increase in regional shipments, which account for 84% of total exports. They reached US$50.327 billion between January and October 2024.
