Amid the state of emergency in Metropolitan Lima and Callao region,
visited several police units in San Juan de Lurigancho district early this morning to reinforce security measures for the population and strengthen controls against crime.
The Head of State began his tour at the East 1 Emergency Squad, where he inspected the facilities.
The top official also met with law enforcement personnel to assess the operational deployment and define measures aimed at increasing police presence in strategic areas of the district.
During the meeting, coordination was established to strengthen protection for transport workers and ensure security along the main transport routes that cross the district.
Emergency response mechanisms and citizen service protocols were reviewed as well.
The President later visited the Santa Elizabeth police station. There, he reviewed recent territorial control operations with agents, as well as the results achieved in the fight against crime and organized crime.
These visits reflect the government's decision to take a firm lead in combating public insecurity, with special focus on San Juan de Lurigancho — the country's most populous district.
Ahead of his agenda in San Juan de Lurigancho, President Jeri visited the Green Squad–Terna Group headquarters in downtown Lima, where he coordinated actions to strengthen operations against criminal organizations and consolidate police intelligence work.
