Twelve-month inflation expectations among economic analysts and the financial system declined from 2.13% in December 2025 to 2.03% in January 2026, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) reported.

"Thus, 12-month inflation expectations remain within the target range, consolidating confidence that inflation will stay anchored at low and predictable levels," it stated.

The issuing entity noted that last January all economic agents kept their inflation projections within the target range for 2026 and 2027.

"Inflation expectations for this year and the next one stand in a range between 2% and 2.20%," the BCR stated.

"Regarding 2026, economic analysts lowered their inflation forecast from 2.10% to 2% between December and January, while the financial system reduced its projection from 2.15% to 2.05% over the same period. Non-financial entities expect this indicator to remain at 2.20%," it concluded.
