Peruvian athlete René Champi, from Cusco, was crowned the winner of the San Silvestre Chía race, held in Colombia, thus retaining the title he won in the previous edition.

Champi once again demonstrated his strength in Chía and retained the championship with a time of 31:14, achieving his second title in the 10-kilometer race.

Second place went to Colombian Mauricio González with a time of 31:24, while Bolivian Héctor Garibay completed the podium, crossing the finish line in 31:37.

In the women's category, Leidy Romero, from Colombia, secured the victory after a solid and consistent performance throughout the race.

Romero crossed the finish line with an official time of 36:04, prevailing against a demanding international competition.

Second place went to Kenyan Lilian Jelagat (36:21), while third place went to Peruvian Jovana de la Cruz (36:40).

The 39th edition of the San Silvestre International Race in Chía, which brought together 4,000 competitors, marked the official close of the Colombian Athletics Federation's competitive calendar, solidifying its position as the last major event of the year for road running.
