The Public Ministry's head arrived at the Executive Branch headquarters before 9:00 a.m. (local time) and entered through the door leading to the Courtyard of Honor.
The statement took place in the context of a preliminary investigation opened by the Attorney General's Office regarding Jeri's unreported meetings with Chinese businesspeople.
As previously reported, the Head of State made himself available to the Attorney General and to Congress' Oversight Commission to provide his statements and the corresponding clarifications.
In a letter sent to both the Public Ministry and Congress, the President stated that this willingness was expressed "in strict respect for the principles of transparency, institutional cooperation, and public responsibility, with the aim of contributing to the proper clarification of the facts."
