Congress' Acting Chairman Fernando Rospigliosi on Tuesday formally declared Judith Laura Rojas incorporated as a member of Congress after she was sworn into office.
The ceremony took place during an extraordinary plenary session held this morning at Parliament's Jose Faustino Sanchez Carrion Building Auditorium, where the main item on the agenda is a set of motions seeking the censure of President Jose Jeri.
Earlier, the credentials issued by the National Elections Board (JNE) to Laura Rojas were read aloud.
She assumes office as an alternate member representing Lima's Electoral District for the 2021–2026 legislative term, replacing the late Carlos Anderson.
After administering the oath, Rospigliosi declared Judith Laura formally incorporated and fit to exercise parliamentary duties.
Later, she took her seat alongside the other lawmakers present in the auditorium.
As previously reported, the new member of the Podemos Peru (We Can Peru) parliamentary group received her credentials from the JNE on January 13, after the electoral body declared the seat vacant following the passing of Carlos Anderson on December 26, 2025.
