U.S. Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson will visit Peru from February 5th to 6th, as part of his first multi-country trip to Latin America and the Caribbean.

It must be noted this tour will include stops in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Jamaica.

According to a release by the U.S. Department of State, Tillerson will leave Argentina for Peru on Monday 5th, thus arriving in Lima on the same day at around 2:00 PM (local time).

Afterwards, the State Secretary will meet with Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Cayetana Aljovin, with whom he will discuss bilateral relations. At the gathering, the Summit of the Americas —to take place in Lima on April 13-14— will also be addressed.

Likewise, he will hold a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Peru, Krishna Urs.

On Tuesday 6th, Secretary Tillerson will meet with Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski.

After that, he will leave for Bogota (Colombia) to continue his trip through the region.

It must be noted this will be Tillerson's first Latin American tour, which will take place one year after he became the U.S. Government's leading diplomat.
