Prime Minister Mercedes Araoz affirmed Peru is an attractive market for the world, so the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos constitutes an excellent opportunity to draw sustainable investment.

Araoz —who is currently in Switzerland, holding audiences with global leaders and attending forums of public interest— said she will continue to work in the pursuit of a better future for the country.

"Peru is an attractive market for the globe, and this is an excellent opportunity to lure sustainable investment that includes the economic, social, and ethical development of our society. We keep on working for the future of our country," she stated.

The minister also informed she had the chance to hold talks with members of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

"Our agenda also includes bilateral meetings with leading entrepreneurs from various countries, international banks […] the theme is quite broad. We are going to be working for several days in the interests of Peru," she added.

The government official is taking part at the World Economic Forum's 48th Annual Meeting held from January 23 to 26 in Davos, where she is planning to draw further private investment into the Inca nation.

The World Economic Forum is an international non-profit organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industrial agendas.
