Expoalimentaria 2017 will attract international buyers looking for pisco, wine, rum, and other spirits, the Association of Peruvian Exporters (Adex) reported.

Those buyers include G&C Corporation (Japan), Fruta Internacional (Costa Rica), Inverleoca (Colombia), Upic (South Korea), Vernius (Russia), World of Flavors (Italy), Berkman Wine Cellars (the United Kingdom) and Delivino (Colombia).

It must be noted some of the aforementioned countries, in particular, South Korea, Russia and Japan, report high alcohol consumption per capita, which might favor trade deals.

According to Adex's Pisco Committee President William Urbina, this year's edition will enable spirit exporters to strengthen their network and close new deals.

"Companies and small producers should take advantage of this event —the largest in the region— to identify international buyers spread across five continents and, therefore, contribute to pisco export growth" he noted.

Participants

As in previous years, Expoalimentaria 2017 will feature an exclusive area to showcase different Peruvian spirits.

National firms participating in the fair include Vitivinicola Don Salvattore, Bodegas Don Luis, Corporacion Rico, Bodegas y Viñedos Tabernero, Bodegas y Viñedos Casas and Autoridad Autonoma de Majes.

Such businesses got the highest scores at the 23rd National Pisco Contest.

Also attending the event are Murzan and Villa Italia 1903 companies, as well as Lima and Tacna Regional Governments.
