Peruvian striker Jefferson Farfan —who struck two goals in the FC Lokomotiv Moscow victory over FC Copenhagen last Thursday— has been chosen Europa League's Player of the Week.

The player got 41% of the total fans' votes, beating AC Milan's Andre Silva (26%), Slavia Praha's Josef Husbauer (14%), and Olympique Lyonnais' Nabil Fekir (9%).

Farfan was the most important man in FC Lokomotiv Moscow's 2-1 win, which allowed his team to reach the second position in Europa League's Group F.

The 33-year-old has been giving extraordinary performances lately. As is known, his goal paved the way for the Inca team to qualify for the 2018 World Cup at the Peru-New Zealand final playoff match in Lima. The game ended in a 2-0 victory.

It must be noted Farfan has so far scored 4 goals for FC Lokomotiv Moscow at the Russian Premier League this season and 3 goals at the Europa League.
