U.S. President Donald J. Trump spoke today with Peruvian counterpart Pedro Pablo Kuczynski to discuss the strong partnership between their two countries.
According to the White House readout of the call, Mr.
Trump underscored the need for countries in the region to work together to
restore democracy in
Venezuela.
The official statement affirmed the two leaders discussed the upcoming
Summit of the Americas taking place next month.
Also, both leaders agreed to continue to work together on issues of mutual interest.
