Peru: ProInversion presents PPP project portfolio in Spain

Peru's State-run Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversion) presented its Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project portfolio to 400 Spanish investors, as part of its participation in the inPERU Road Show - Europe 2017.

ProInversion Investor Services Director Cesar Martin Peñaranda met with potential investors, who expressed great interest in participating in the promotion and awarding processes of this organization's PPP projects.

At the event, the ProInversion representative also addressed the measures the institution has been implementing in order to follow the top global agencies' standards.

Peñaranda also noted ProInversion's main goal is to award projects.

"We have nearly US$21 billion earmarked for projects by 2020, without considering some private initiatives […]," he expressed.

More dynamism

Peñaranda also noted the inPERU Road Show - Europe 2017 helped ProInversion figure out what Spanish investors feel the entity is doing well and what they expect from the Andean country.

"ProInversion is working on these challenges, making tenders more dynamic in order to ease investment arrivals, and advising investors so they will see Peru as a country relying on a long-term projection," he concluded.

ProInversion was part of the business delegation touring Madrid and London thru November 2 to attract international capitals as part of the 13th inPERU Road Show - Europe

The group was composed of over 50 members, including State Ministers Bruno Giuffra (Transport and Communications), Cayetana Aljovin (Energy and Mines), as well as Central Reserve Bank (BCR) Governor Julio Velarde. 

inPERU

inPERU is a Peruvian nonprofit association supported by the Peruvian government and founded by the main business organizations of the national market.

The association seeks to promote investment opportunities in the country and contribute to the development of Peruvian capital and financial markets.

Government bodies endorsing inPERU include the Ministries of Economy and Finance, Foreign Affairs, as well as Foreign Trade and Tourism.

Central Reserve Bank (BCR), Superintendence of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Funds Administrators, Superintendence of Securities Market and the Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversion) also support the association.
