The Head of State arrived in
Huanuco region on Thursday to carry out a series of activities, including a new edition of the Muni-Executive Power meeting.
Muni-Executive Power meetings denote cooperation platforms that promote, develop, and strengthen the joint efforts between municipalities and the Executive Branch.
Joined by Health Minister Silvia Pessah, the Peruvian leader oversaw construction works of a new hospital in Tingo Maria.
According to the President, the construction of a
hospital cannot be considered complete, if it lacks drinking water and sanitation services.
"That will be our priority," the statesman expressed in this sense.
"There are a lot of needs, but we cannot meet all of them at once. Yet, we guarantee a responsible work with priorities, in favor of
health,
education, and basic sanitation," he concluded.
