The newly sworn-in President Martin Vizcarra on Monday visited Lima's Meliton Carvajal School to monitor its education services and said similar monitoring exercises will be conducted at all educational institutions across the country.
The Head of State took note of the lack of books and sports equipment for students at this learning center.
"[…] I have spoken with the principal and listened to the needs he has […]," the statesman affirmed.
Vizcarra went on to add there is a lack of teacher's assistants in preschool and primary education in said school.
Peru's top official explained the problems witnessed at this educational institution reflect those of other schools in the country.
"Getting familiar with problems at one [school] may help find a comprehensive solution. School problems here will be the same as those in Ayacucho or maybe in Iquitos," he stated.
Mr. Vizcarra reiterated he will announce the full list of Cabinet Ministers
in 10 days following the day of his
swearing-in as President.
