Peru: Police destroys drug lab in Cusco region

Anti-Drugs Agents of Vraem Special Command destroyed a cocaine hydrochloride laboratory and seized one ton of chemical products during an operation conducted in Cusco region's La Convencion province.

As part of intelligence efforts, police intervention was carried out on March 26 at 9:30 AM (local time) in the surroundings of Shancuantiari-Mantaro native community's area, located in Pichari district.

Police agents also found one ton of acetone, chemical products, two microwave ovens, one electric power generator, three hydraulic presses, six jacks, and six weighing scales. 

Furthermore, they discovered one big still, five windmills, three kitchens, two molds, among other tools used for making drugs. 

It must be these materials were demolished with the knowledge of anti-drug prosecutors.
