High-Andean city of Arequipa's cuisine will be present for the 10th edition of Latin America's largest culinary festival known as Mistura which kicks off in Peru's capital city of Lima this week.

Within this framework, Peruvian cook Benita Victoria Quicaño will represent her city offering typical dishes such as Rocoto Relleno (Stuffed Chili Peppers) and Chupe de Camarones (Shrimp Chowder).

Quicaño, who was considered one of the 10 most emblematic Peruvian cooks by Mistura organizers, will participate in this international event introducing her new eatery named Victoria.

Her son Roger Falcon Quicaño highlighted that they will serve a special dish called "Cómete Arequipa en 4 Sabores" (Eat Arequipa in 4 Flavors), a dish mixing four traditional flavors from the Southern region's gastronomy.

He also pointed out Victoria seeks to offer modern versions of Arequipean dishes while remaining rooted in the traditions.

As is known, Mistura 2017 will take place at Club Revolver in Lima's Rimac district from October 26 to November 5.
