09:41 | Auckland (New Zealand), Nov. 7.

Peru's national soccer squad held their first training session in New Zealand ahead of their FIFA World Cup playoff against host team All Whites.

Gareca's side reached Auckland's Trusts Stadium and QBE Stadium facilities on Monday at 4:00 PM (local time) to do so.

The practice took place after the arrival of Peru's Europe-based players Jefferson Farfan, Andre Carrillo and Renato Tapia, among others.

As is known, the Inca team will face New Zealand in the first leg of the Peru-New Zealand FIFA World Cup intercontinental playoff tie in the coming days.

Peru arrived without their captain and all-time leading scorer Paolo Guerrero, who has been suspended for 30 days by soccer's governing body FIFA for producing abnormal doping test result after a World Cup goal-less draw against Argentina on October 5.
