Peru, Argentina leaders meet to discuss bilateral issues

Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and Argentinean counterpart Mauricio Macri on Friday held a private audience at Casa Rosada (Pink House) presidential palace in Buenos Aires to address topics on bilateral cooperation.

Mr. Kuczynski was welcomed with corresponding honors by hosting country's President Macri upon arrival at the Argentinean government's headquarters.

The Peruvian leader was joined by Foreign Affairs Minister Ricardo Luna, Culture Minister Salvador del Solar and Ambassador Hugo de Zela.


A longer bilateral meeting will take place in the presence of the two countries' Foreign Affairs ministers following the said audience. 

Several agreements on the fight against crime and on natural disasters, among others, are expected to be signed during the gathering.

"We will focus on topics of mutual interest such as the fight for democracy in all our nations as well as the economic cooperation between both South American countries, whose economies are shaping up well," President Kuczynski pointed out.
