The Governments of Peru and Australia will sign a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders' Meeting taking place this week in Viet Nam, President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski announced Monday.
He will also meet with Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping —in order to boost and deepen bilateral relations— as well as with Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang.
"We will have bilateral meetings with all Heads of State. We are going to hold a very special meeting with the Prime Minister of Australia in order to
sign a Free Trade Agreement that has been
discussed and
negotiated in recent months. It is ready," he expressed.
The leaders of the 21 APEC economies —as well as 10,000 delegates and more than 2,000 executives— will be present at the event.
