The Governments of Peru and Australia have completed the second round of negotiations towards a free trade agreement (FTA), the Inca nation's Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Eduardo Ferreyros said Monday.
The government official affirmed both negotiating teams made significant progress during the meetings, held from August 28 to September 2 in Canberra, Australia.
"The [negotiation] round convened various work groups, including Market Access, Rules of Origin, [...], Services, Investment, Public Procurement and State-owned Companies," Minister Ferreyros indicated.
In this sense, the Foreign Trade head noted the parties managed to wrap up talks on several chapters, such as State-owned Companies and Public Procurement.
