The first international edition of the "Peru Mucho Gusto" food fair, organized by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru) in Madrid, concluded with a highly positive outcome.

Over three days —from April 11 to 13— the Espacio Ibercaja Delicias became the epicenter of Peruvian flavors, gathering 14,350 attendees eager to explore and taste the best of Peruvian cuisine.

The European audience enjoyed over 50 dishes prepared by prominent Peruvian chefs and entrepreneurs based in Spain, who offered an authentic and diverse showcase of our gastronomy.

Among them, Ceviche —declared a Cultural Heritage of the Nation— and the traditional Picarones were the most requested dishes and recognized as the fair's main stars.

This result highlights the growing international interest in Peruvian cuisine and solidifies "Peru Mucho Gusto" as an effective platform to position our culinary offerings and the destination Peru in strategic markets such as Europe.

In addition to the culinary offerings, the fair featured themed areas dedicated to Superfoods, a 360° pisco bar, masterclasses, coffee tastings, and cultural presentations, providing a multisensory experience of Peru.

This event marks a milestone in the internationalization strategy of "Peru Mucho Gusto," led by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) through PromPeru.

The holding of this edition in Spain —the main European tourist market for Peru— represents a key step in further positioning our country abroad and promoting gastronomy as a powerful travel motivator.
