Garments to draw interest from int'l buyers at Peru Moda 2018

08:00 | Lima, Apr. 5.

Nearly 1,000 buyers from around the world will arrive in Peru interested in the proposals to be made by 250 Inca exporters at the upcoming Peru Moda & Peru Moda Deco 2018, Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) has reported.

The event aims at promoting Peru's exportable supply from the clothing and decoration industries.

It also encourages commercial meetings between international buyers and domestic companies from different regions of the Inca country.

Thus, the activity will be attended by top buyers such as Liverpool (Mexico), La Martina (Argentina), Macron (Italy), Johnny Was (U.S.), and Frame La Brands LLC (U.S.), among others.

Likewise, it will see the presence of important delegations from the United States (33%), Brazil (13%), Argentina (6%), and Chile (6%).

The mega fashion event will be held on April 25-27, thus representing a great opportunity for Peruvian companies —mainly for 149 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Arequipa, Cusco, Ayacucho, Junin, Puno, Piura, La Libertad, Huancavelica, and Abancay regions.

It must be noted this edition is expected to exceed last year's figure (US$108 million), which was the result of more than 3,350 meetings held on the occasion.

Peru Moda and Peru Moda Deco 2018 are organized by PromPeru with the support of the Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry.
