Chile was the largest destination for Peruvian metal-mechanic exports during 2017's first five months, Peru's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) informed on Thursday.
Said shipments to the fellow South American nation totaled US$38.25 million, up by 5.5% from the same period last year.
According to PromPeru Exports Development Deputy-Director Ricardo Limo del Castillo, metal-mechanic sales to Chile have experienced recovery and are expected to show a better performance this year.
Products
Peru is the main products supplier for Chile's mining industry, exporting machineries and equipment for the development of such sector.
The most demanded metal-mechanic products in the first five-month period were: machines, lead-based batteries, loaders and excavators, among others.
