Paolo Guerrero will learn of CAS' (Court of Arbitration for Sports) final decision by the end of February —if everything goes smoothly— as his legal defense team has already appealed the six-month suspension imposed on the forward by FIFA.
In order to seek
acquittal, Guerrero's attorneys on Monday officially submitted an appeal to CAS —the third and last option available to the player in this whole process.
Now, the lawyers will wait for the hearing that will take place sometime in February.
In case Guerrero is completely acquitted, his legal defense team will request compensation from FIFA because of the sports-related and financial damages incurred.
