55% of Peruvians approve of the job President Martin Vizcarra is doing in office, and 54% believe his administration will be better than that of his predecessor Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, the latest Datum (Pulso Peru) poll revealed Wednesday.
According to the survey —published by Peru 21 newspaper— the regions showing the highest approval ratings are located in the north (65%), followed by those in the east (62%), center (54%), Lima and Callao (51%), and south (46%).
Likewise, in general terms, 55% of respondents think the current administration will be fair, while 29% hope it will be good, and 8% believe it will be poor.
On the other hand, 19% disapprove of Vizcarra's job performance.
On the other hand, the disapproval of Fuerza Popular party's leader, Keiko Fujimori, rose to 74% from 70% last month.
Similarly, the study showed an increase in the disapproval rating of
Keiko's brother, Kenji, going from 60% to 79%.
The same occurred with Congress Chairman Luis Galarreta, whose disapproval rating grew from 49% to 68%.
