The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, received an invitation from his United States counterpart Donald Trump to participate in the high-level summit bringing together various Heads of State from Latin America and the Caribbean.

The meeting is scheduled for March 7 in Miami, Florida.

This gathering is shaping up as the first regional forum of Western Hemisphere leaders under the current U.S. administration.

The event will include the Heads of State of Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, El Salvador, Ecuador, and Honduras, among other regional figures.

This forum aims to strengthen strategic cooperation ties on security matters, while promoting shared development goals and democratic stability.

The invitation extended to Peru comes within the framework of the commemoration of 200 years of diplomatic relations with the United States.

It also reflects a longstanding friendship grounded in common values, mutual respect, and a bilateral agenda focused on the benefit of both nations.
