Both were accompanied by Germany's Ambassador to Peru, Sabine Bloch.
During the meeting, Ambassador Ugarelli presented the Foreign Affairs Ministry's priorities in tackling transnational organized crime, with particular emphasis on drug trafficking.
The diplomat highlighted Peru's South American Ports Alliance initiative, aimed at developing a coordination and cooperation platform to strengthen security at ports across the region and more effectively address challenges posed by illicit drug trafficking and its precursors.
He also underscored the importance of the upcoming third technical meeting of focal points under this initiative, scheduled to take place in Peru on April 21–22.
