The new Cabinet led by
was formed under technical criteria, political responsibility, and democratic commitment, the
"New ministers have been sworn in while continuity has been maintained in strategic portfolios, combining renewal and experience to ensure immediate results and avoid any scenario of destabilization," the Presidential Office said in a statement on Tuesday evening.
It added that Peru requires firm economic leadership, a frontal fight against organized crime, and the preservation of the stability the country needs.
"Following the swearing-in of the new Council of Ministers, the President of the Republic reaffirmed that the transitional government's priority is to ensure governability, institutional stability, and transparent conduct of the electoral process," the statement indicated.
Six State ministers from the previous Cabinet, led by Ernesto Alvarez, were confirmed in their posts, while 12 other appointed ministers joined the ministerial team.
