Peru: President Fujimori participates in Expomina 2026 inauguration ceremony

The President of the Republic, Keiko Fujimori, participated on Wednesday in the inauguration ceremony of Expomina Peru 2026, considered the world's fifth-largest mining fair.

The event, which will run through September 11, is being held at the Jockey Exhibition Center in Lima's Santiago de Surco district.

Expomina Peru 2026 brings together suppliers, mining companies, and investors from more than 20 countries, generating business and investment commitments exceeding US$300 million.

The President was accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Carlos Espa, Senate Chairman Miguel Angel Torres, Deputy Mines Minister Mayra Figueroa, and Expomina Peru 2026 Chairman Roque Benavides.

Representatives of diplomatic missions in Peru, as well as businesspeople from the sector, also attended the event.
