on Friday to review the Government's actions regarding the situation of Peruvians in Russia.
According to reports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has held to date several informational meetings with the families of compatriots who had traveled to Russia.
Likewise, the government agency sent a special delegate to Moscow and contributed to the repatriation of six fellow citizens since the current administration took office on July 28.
Two more compatriots who were evacuated with the Ministry's support are expected to arrive in the coming hours.
In recent days, Minister Espa conveyed to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Peru, Alekséi Ushakov, the Government's concern that all necessary information be provided regarding the whereabouts and situation of fellow citizens.
The meeting also addressed the humanitarian aid sent by the Peruvian Government for the population affected by the magnitude 7.4 earthquake in Colombia.
The aid consisted of 12 tons of food, tents, warm clothing, beds, mattresses, and other supplies.
As part of this support, and at the Government's direction, assistance was provided for the return of compatriots who were in transit in Colombia when the earthquake struck.
