Peru: Amadeo Flores Carcagno sworn in as new Defense Minister

The President of the Republic, Jose Maria Balcazar, swore in Amadeo Flores Carcagno as the new Defense Minister.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at Government Palace on Wednesday. It was attended by the full Cabinet.

Flores Carcagno holds a master's degree in National Development and Defense. He is also a doctoral candidate in Development and Strategic Security.

The new Cabinet member has specialized training in International Constitutional Law and Public Management.

In his professional career, he previously served as chief of staff at the Defense Ministry.
