Air Canada announced that it resumed direct flights between Lima and the cities of Toronto and Montreal on Monday, October 26, re-establishing non-stop service between Peru and Canada for the 2026–2027 season.
The operation consists of two weekly frequencies per route, totaling four weekly flights between Lima and these two Canadian destinations.
The restart of these services facilitates travel for tourism, business, and family visits, while allowing passengers to connect from Toronto and Montreal to an extensive network of destinations across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia via the airline’s international network.
Year-round service for the Lima–Montreal route
One of Air Canada’s key announcements for the Peruvian market is the expansion of the Lima–Montreal route into a year-round operation, beginning in the summer of 2027.
This decision extends the availability of direct connections beyond the typical seasonal window, offering greater flexibility for planning travel throughout the year.
Flights are operated using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, with a capacity for 255 passengers across three classes: 20 seats in Signature Class, 21 in Premium Economy, and 214 in Economy Class.
This configuration provides a range of travel options for corporate travelers, tourists, and those traveling for personal reasons.
A boost for tourism and business
According to the airline, the resumption of these routes expands travel options for Peruvian passengers and creates new opportunities for travel agencies and tour operators to develop packages and commercial offerings to Canada and other international destinations, leveraging the connections available through Toronto and Montreal.
With the return of direct flights and the upcoming year-round Lima–Montreal service, Air Canada is strengthening its presence in Peru and contributing to enhanced air connectivity, as well as tourism and commercial exchange, between the two countries.
