The government, through the
, has appointed new consuls general of Peru to Guangzhou, the People's Republic of China, and to Orlando, the United States of America.
This measure was officialized through separate supreme resolutions published in the Legal Regulations bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano.
Ambassador Jesus Raul Ponce Bravo, a career member of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic, was appointed to Guangzhou.
Similarly, it was established that the consular jurisdiction shall be as defined in Supreme Resolution No. 076-2006-RE, dated February 20, 2006.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Augusto Morelli Salgado, a career member of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic, was appointed to Orlando.
In addition, the decree stipulates that the consular jurisdiction shall be as defined in Supreme Decree No. 043-2025-RE, dated October 27, 2025.
The issuance of the corresponding letters patent is ordered in both cases.
It is also established that the date on which the respective diplomatic official must assume duties will be determined by deputy ministerial resolution.
