The Peruvian Embassy in South Korea organized the exhibition titled "The Path of Peru to Gyeongju," which was inaugurated on October 11 at the new library of Dongguk University's Wise Campus.

At the opening ceremony, Peruvian Ambassador to South Korea, Paul Fernando Duclos, highlighted the brotherhood that has existed since 2015 between the cities of Gyeongju and Arequipa, as well as the importance of establishing mutually-beneficial relations for both societies.

Similarly, the diplomat underscored the intense effort that Peru has been undertaking to ensure that the APEC Leaders' Summit in November will provide a rich thematic agenda for APEC 2025 in South Korea.

The event was attended by the mayor of Gyeongju, the chairman of the City Council, the president of Dongguk University, and various local administrative authorities.

Through a guided tour conducted by the Peruvian envoy to Korea, the dignitaries were provided a brief overview of the Inca Trail's history, some tourist sites in Peru's southern city of Arequipa, and APEC's importance for our country in 2024.

Peru is hosting APEC for the third time after the 2008 and 2016 editions.
