Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Wednesday attended the
, the world's second-largest mining convention taking place in Peru's southern city of Arequipa.
Running under the slogan "Mining: Science, Innovation, Technology, and Education,"
Perumin is based on three pillars: the mining summit, the TIS (Technology, Innovation, and Sustainability) Forum, and Extemin.
On this occasion, over 80 speakers —29 of them from Canada, Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Chile, among others— have joined the event.
Likewise, they address subjects such as education, innovation, infrastructure, competitiveness, social development, and sustainability.
During the previous days, Ministers Flor Pablo (Education),
Lucia Ruiz (Environment), and Francisco Ismodes (Energy and Mines) participated in Perumin as well.
The event takes place on September 16-20.
