Peru will host the
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in 2024; so, a series of activities have been scheduled and an official video has been prepared.
In the video, which is already available on official social media channels of the event, it is highlighted that APEC Peru 2024 will be "the place where we come together to reimagine trade for the Asia-Pacific region, where we join forces to make trade more free, accessible, and inclusive."
The video also indicates that this is a crucial time to focus on sustainable growth, the time to consolidate the transition to clean energy and circular economy, as well as the time to fine-tune the path of a secure food chain.
Likewise, it notes that APEC Peru 2024 is the turning point to transition to a global, formal, and inclusive economy, where digital transformation helps bridge gaps, where financial inclusion empowers women, and where innovative tools inspire tourism development.
"During 2024, we will have opportunities to discuss and reflect on the present and the future prosperity for our communities, and so, make decisions that benefit entrepreneurs, small and medium businesses, and our citizens," it is mentioned in the video.
Finally, it highlights that this important multilateral event will provide an opportunity "to work together for a prosperous and sustainable Asia-Pacific region."
"We are all APEC Peru 2024," the government official emphasized.
The APEC 2024 schedule will end in November, with the Leaders' Summit.
