The Vice-President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Thursday said that Peruvian identity must unite us in hope for a better country.

The high-ranking official made these remarks as part of her message on the 201st Anniversary of Peru's Independence.

Mrs. Boluarte, who also serves as Minister of Development and Social Inclusion, greeted Peruvians on the occasion of the country's Independence Day.

"My commitment to the 'nobodies,' to working for the most unprotected and neglected people in the homeland, is renewed every day," the Cabinet member affirmed.

"Let us build together a supportive country of inclusion," she stated.

After that, she made her way to the Cathedral of Lima to attend the Solemn Mass and Te Deum held on the occasion of Peru's 201st Independence Day celebrations.
