Thousands of domestic tourists have flocked to the Paracas beach area in Ica region and packed local hotels to enjoy not only the sun, beaches, and landscapes of the Paracas National Reserve and
Ballestas Islands, but also the delicious food.
Precisely the Municipal District of Paracas convened the "First Culinary Competition of Ceviche and Handicrafts," which featured nine restaurants of said jurisdiction, as well as their best dishes to the delight of visitors.
After a tough competition, the restaurant at El Condor Hotel took the first place.
The prize-giving ceremony was attended by Mayor Rosario Ramirez, who highlighted the gastronomic quality of the participating eateries.
The culinary contest —organized by the Municipality of Paracas— was attended by more than 4,000 visitors from Lima, who mostly filled three, four, and five-star hotels.
"Paracas hotels were packed after 17 months, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including six four-star hotels, five five-star hotels, as well as all the three-star hotels," the authorities reported.
