Peruvian Prime Minister Guido Bellido and
Energy and Mines Minister Ivan Merino on Monday delivered an official letter to Pluspetrol —the company operating the Camisea gas project— marking the official start of negotiations over the Camisea gas.
This morning, the Cabinet chief went to the company's headquarters located at the GNB building in Lima's San Isidro district.
After that, the head of the Ministerial Cabinet left the company's office without making any statement to the press.
On Sunday, Bellido announced that he would summon the Camisea gas operating company to renegotiate the distribution of profits in favor of the State.
"The State and private sector working together for a better Peru," he wrote on Twitter.
