Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Cesar Landa was received by Pope Francis at the Vatican on Monday, October 17, as part of his
trip to various countries in Europe and North America.
During the meeting with the Supreme Pontiff, the Peruvian high-ranking official highlighted the ties between Peru and the Holy See.
According to the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Landa stressed the importance of democratic governance for sustainable development and the closing of social gaps in the care of those most in need.
During said visit, they will sign a certificate of delivery and repatriation of three pre-Columbian Peruvian mummies that are currently held at the Vatican museums.
