Peru's 'Ceviche' the most popular dish in South America

For the second consecutive year, the prestigious gastronomic guide Taste Atlas has chosen 'Ceviche' as the most popular dish in South America, Peru's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) reported.

Known as the world atlas of food and drinks as well as the encyclopedia of flavors, TasteAtlas included 20 other Peruvian dishes in the ranking of the Most Popular South American Dishes, which confirms Peru's culinary tradition as one of the most important ones in the world.


The list features flavorful dishes like Tiradito, Pollo a la Brasa, Butifarra, Lomo Saltado, Anticuchos, Picarones, Ceviche Mixto, Jalea, and the famous Leche de Tigre.


Other Peruvian delicacies that made the ranking are Salchipapa, Aji de Gallina, Arroz Chaufa, Tacu Tacu, and Arroz con Camarones.

Finally, Papa Rellena, Juane, Pachamanca, Chupe de Camarones, Parihuela, and Carapulcra can also be found in the South American list.
