With a lot of excitement and singing the National Anthem of Peru, members of the Peruvian community and residents of Singapore received the sailing training ship B.A.P. Union, which arrived on October 9 at the Changi Naval Base, in Singapore.

This is the sixth landing point of the emblematic Peruvian vessel on its journey around the world

The training ship will remain at the above-mentioned naval base until October 13, during which time the crew will carry out protocol and cultural activities.

Upon arrival in Changi, the ship's commander, Naval Captain Jose Luis Arce Corzo, received Peruvian Ambassador to Singapore Carlos Vasquez; Deputy Defense Attaché at the Embassy of Peru in Singapore, Frigate Captain Luis Nalvarte Malaga; and military representatives of the Singaporean Navy on board.

During their visit, they toured the ship and were briefed on its capabilities. In addition, they visited the exhibitions aboard the ship.

Moreover, the ship's commander held a press conference, in which he spoke in detail about the activities to be carried out at said port, such as the open-door activity to receive the visit of locals and members of the Peruvian community residing in said country.

Visitors will have the opportunity to reconnect with Peru's millenary culture and export products.

Thus, the BAP Union will continue its historic training journey abroad. Its next stop will be Bombay (India).

The ship will then cross the Suez Canal to visit Alexandria (Egypt), Civitavecchia (Italy), La Spezzia (Italy), Piraeus ( Greece), Toulon (France), Malaga (Spain), Cadiz (Spain), Tanger Med (Morocco), Baltimore (U.S.), Miami (U.S.), Kingston (Jamaica), and Curacao (Netherlands).

Furthermore, it will cross the Panama Canal to arrive at Balboa (Panama) before returning to Callao in its home country, Peru.
