After a long journey, the
Via social media on Friday evening, the government agency highlighted the arrival of the region's most modern scientific unit and one of the most important around the world.
The ministry stated that, upon arrival, it was received by Peruvian Army expeditionary personnel located at the base.
It also indicated that provisions, materials, and gear were subsequently disembarked from the ship, as were scientific equipment to conduct studies and research on said continent.
The BAP Carrasco has a total of 110 expedition members on board, including Navy crew members and scientists from various institutions, who will carry out Peru's 30th scientific mission on the White Continent.
Among the Antar mission objectives are to develop studies on said continent, considering the conditions that will occur this season due to the presence of El Niño phenomenon.
