The Peru-Bolivia Presidential Meeting and VI Binational Ministerial Cabinet will be held in the Bolivian city of La Paz this Saturday.

This event will see the participation of Peruvian President Pedro Castillo and Bolivian counterpart Luis Arce, as well as their corresponding government teams.

The Binational Cabinet is a space for political-diplomatic coordination of the highest level in which various issues on the bilateral agenda will be addressed.

This meeting will come to an end with the signing of a joint declaration and an action plan that will establish a series of commitments of common interest, the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported.

The ministers' work agenda includes four axes:
1. Environment and Transboundary Water Resources.
2. Security and Defense.
3. Economic Development, Social Policies, and Institutional Strengthening.
4. Infrastructure for Integration and Development.

The Presidential Meeting will begin with the ceremony to place wreaths in front of the crypt which holds the remains of Marshal Andres de Santa Cruz. It is located at Plaza Murillo (Murillo Square) in the city of La Paz.

Subsequently, both presidents will hold a private meeting at the Plurinational State of Bolivia's Government headquarters —known as La Casa Grande del Pueblo (The Great House of the People).

At the same time, bilateral talks will be held by both nations' State ministers.

Afterwards, the Heads of State will preside over the plenary meeting of the Binational Ministerial Cabinet, during which ministers will report on the progress made in the implementation of the agreements adopted at the V Binational Ministerial Cabinet held in Moquegua and Ilo (Peru) in 2019.

At the end of this session, the Joint Declaration and Action Plan of La Paz will be signed, and the new commitments will be announced.
