The National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) on Friday reminded citizens that using a double mask is mandatory to attend polling places in the presidential runoff election scheduled for June 6.

In the case of polling station members and ONPE staff, each of them will also wear a face shield on a mandatory basis.

Likewise, the electoral body recommended that voters bring an own pen to cast their vote, and that they go to polling places complying with the staggered voting schedule.

It should be noted that the recommended voting hours for the vulnerable population are from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

On the other hand, it was notified that changes will be made to 67 polling places. The citizens affected by this measure will be informed through the decentralized offices and the ONPE official website.

Lastly, ONPE urged the citizens chosen to become polling station members to arrive at said sites at 06:30 a.m. with the aim of performing their duties and affirmed that each of them will receive a payment of S/120 (about US$32).
