As part of the process of accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), a Peruvian delegation presented the major developments in public integrity before the Working Party of Senior Public Integrity Officials (SPIO) of said organization.

At the meeting in Paris, the delegation reported on the implementation of the integrity model, suitability and meritocracy requirements in force to access public administration, measures to prevent conflicts of interest and transparency, among other topics.

The activity was attended by representatives of the Secretariat of Public Integrity of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), the National Authority for Transparency and Access to Public Information of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, as well as the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic

Likewise, the event featured officials from the Peruvian Embassy in France. It also saw the virtual participation of the National Civil Service Authority (Servir), and the PCM's Secretariat of Public Management.

The meeting made it possible to reply to the queries raised by members of the Working Party, which will issue its technical report to the OECD Public Governance Committee, as part of the assessment of our country.

Accession process

The OECD is a forum comprised of 38 member countries, whose mission is to work on the design and promotion of public policies in favor of citizens.

Subsequently, on June 10, 2022, the OECD released the accession roadmap for Peru, which provides that 24 expert committees will review Peru's candidacy on issues related to public governance, anti-corruption, health, education, work, and environmental policy, among others.
